Holtek Releases New HT45F0027 for PIR Applications

New Unit Combines Common PIR Functions in a Low Power Microcontroller IC

Holtek have released the new HT45F0027 Flash Microcontroller for PIR applications. The device combines OPA and ACC functions, together with low power consumption, making the device particularly suited for low speed PIR, small signal, high amplification sensor applications. The device is ideal for use in PIR devices used in garden lights, guest reception monitors, security systems, automatic doors and intelligent lighting controllers.

Holtek Releases New HT45F0027 for PIR Applications

The device has a wide operating voltage of 2.2V to 5.5V, with a rated temperature of -40°C to +85°C, together with excellent noise immunity, making the part suitable for use in an industrial environment. The part is available in a 16-pin NSOP and 16-pin QFN package, for SMD mounting. The microcontroller includes a Flash Program Memory of 2K, together with an SRAM Data Memory of 256 bytes, as well as a EEPROM Data Memory of 32 bytes, for storing various setting values. Other features include both I²C and SPI communication interfaces, integrated temperature sensor, LDO, 12-bit A/D converter and two-stage OPA where the second stage OPA has a PGA function. The device also includes a fast warm-up function, for quick operation on turn-on.

A number of development tools are also available through Holtek, for developing application software and writing programs for the microcontroller. These include the HT-IDE3000 development software, as well as a hardware e-Link and OCDS structured MCUs, which when used together will provide a full range of debug functions such as breakpoint setting, trace analysis etc. For device programming, the Holtek e-WriterPro programmer can be used, this unit also includes full In-Circuit Programming to allow for fast program updates and product development. There are also a range of application guides to ensure developers have their designs up and running in the shortest time possible.
