Product Details

The MAX487 RS485 Transceiver is a low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 bus communication. The MAX487 contains both a driver and receiver for the RS-485 bus together with protection against short-circuits and thermal overload. The IC also has a low current shutdown mode. The MAX487 has a reduced slew-rate to minimize EMI and to reduce reflections in long, improperly terminated cables, this allows for error-free data transmission up to 250kbps.
