Holtek Releases New Generation Touch Switch IC
A High Level of Integration Reduces the Number of External Components Required,
With a combination of its touch switch IC design technology and experience, Holtek has released its new generation touch switch series devices,
the BS801B, BS802B, BS804B, BS806B and BS808B. This device series allows a touch key number selection from 1 key to 8 keys and are able to meet the demands of today’s high performance/price ratio touch switch products.
The special characteristics of the series lie in their high level of integration which minimise greatly the need for external passive components, and in the process reducing PCB board sizes and costs.
The devices are extremely suitable for small household appliances that require touch switch control.
The Special Features of the BS80xB series include its industrial specification (-40~85°C), a working voltage of 2.2V~5.5V, a low standby operating current of 1.5uA@3V, as well as multi-function operating mode setup.
The touch switch sensitivity can be adjusted with a single capacitor, and they also include a single line interface for transmission of the switch status. At fixed intervals the switch parameters will be renewed automatically.
In terms of function, performance and cost, these devices provide the most competitive touch switch solutions and in addition, the series is provided in a choice of package types.
The BS80xB series includes a diverse range of functions allowing the devices to meet the customers needs for different application requirements.
The devices will be especially suitable in touch switch small household appliance applications a few of which could include electric hobs, electric fans, food processors, chargers, vacuum cleaners, extractors, disinfecting machines etc.
